Training Coordinator– Administration

The mission of the Allen Institute administration team is to provide support and structure to the scientific divisions. Coinciding with the team science approach, administration helps facilitate team learning and the overall mission of the institute.

The Training Coordinator will contribute to our mission by supporting the management of software tools and processes that deliver, record, and manage critical training courses needed for a safe work environment and necessary for regulatory compliance. This role is expected to provide good customer service while working with internal customers from all levels of the organization through excellent verbal and written communication.

Essential Functions

  • Manage learning through assigning, scheduling, recording, and reporting using the Cornerstone learning management software
  • Prepare and edit training materials leveraging content authoring applications
  • Communicate and interact effectively with team members in meetings, conference calls and electronically using MS Office tools and applications
  • Utilize reporting and analytics to assist with managing compliance audits
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks to support stakeholders

Required Education and Experience

  • 1 year experience with a learning management system or 1 year experience in e-learning authoring applications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of degree and experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience with Cornerstone or similar learning management system or
  • 1-3 years of experience in Articulate 360 or similar e-learning authoring applications
  • Attention to detail and customer focus

Physical Demands

  • Fine motor movements in fingers/hands to operate computers and other office equipment

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This role is currently able to work remotely due to COVID-19 and our focus on employee safety. We are a Washington State employer, and remote work must be performed in Washington State. We continue to evaluate the safest options for our employees. As restrictions are lifted in relation to COVID-19, this role will return to work onsite.
